Q: How do I open the yew2K mod menu?

Hold L2 on PlayStation or LT on Xbox and press Options (PS) or Menu (Xbox). The mod menu appears on the Cronus Zen's OLED screen, not on your TV. Keep L2/LT held the whole time you are in the menu. The moment you release it, the menu ignores the D-pad.

How do I change a value in the mod menu?

Accepted Answer

Keep L2/LT held. D-pad Left/Right moves to the previous or next mod page. D-pad Up/Down toggles the mod On/Off or steps through its options. On a page with a millisecond value (Button Rhythm, Auto-Green, Left/Right Fade, Standstill, Catch Shoot, Step Back, Step Delay, QS Pause/Delay/Shot), hold Cross/A while tapping Up/Down to raise or lower the number. Without Cross held, Up/Down only toggles On/Off. Changes save automatically to the Zen's persistent storage. The page counter in the bottom-right of the OLED shows which page you are on.

Why won't the mod menu open?

Check three things. First, is the script running? The OLED should show the script name, and the kill switch (PS/Xbox + L2/LT) may have turned it off. Second, is the build current? Re-download from yew.gg and recompile in Zen Studio. Third, is the controller in the A1 USB port on the front of the Zen?

Also make sure L2/LT is actually held while you press Options/Menu and while you use the D-pad. The menu ignores D-pad input as soon as L2/LT is released.

Question 4

Do my yew2K settings save when I turn off the Zen?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every value you set in the mod menu is written to persistent variables on the Zen, and saving is automatic. There is no save button and nothing to confirm.

After you load a new build on patch day, page through the menu once and check that each value reads what you expect.

Question 5

How do I turn the script off quickly?

Accepted Answer

Use the kill switch. Hold the PS/Xbox button + L2/LT and the script turns off; the Zen's LED goes black. Hold PS/Xbox + R2/RT and it turns back on. This does not change any of your saved values. It is the fastest way to play raw for a possession and come back.

The page counter bottom-right of the OLED shows "n / total" so you know where you are. D-pad Left/Right moves between pages with L2/LT held.

Two pages you may remember from older builds, Auto-Green Fades and Auto-Green No-Dips, are retired and no longer in the menu.

What is the Style page?

Style is the first page in the yew2K menu. It shows the build/style selector for the script. Move past it with D-pad Right (L2/LT held) to reach Button Rhythm and the rest of the mods.
